According to Lionsgate, November 5 is the new release date for his stellar adaptation of Ntozake Shange's "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf." Originally set for a January release, the new date makes the film a contender for year-end award nominations... The industry is already abuzz with "For Colored Girls..." award potential. A source at 34th Street Films, Perry's production company, says to look out for Oscar-worthy performances from two of the film's stars: Loretta Devine and Anika Noni Rose. Other cast members include Janet Jackson, Thandie Newton, Kerry Washington, Kimberly Elise, Tessa Thompson and Phylicia Rashad, with cameos by Whoopi Goldberg and Macy Gray.
