Today’s topic: Is the chase better than the catch? Dear Morning Crew, I have been married for 13 years and for the past four years, I have been emotionally detached from my husband due to years of indescretion on his end. The last incident was a deal breaker. It is so true that when a woman is done, she is done. Anyhow, I stayed only because he was going through a situation and being me with my loyalty to him I didn’t leave him. I have been seeing someone for three years now and he is fully aware of my situation. From time to time he would express his love and his intention to be with me and how he wanted me and my children to be his family. I finally got the courage to tell my husband how I truly felt and how unhappy I was and that I wanted a divorce. When I told him that I was leaving my husband months ago, he expressed to me that he didn’t want to be the reason why I left and he didn’t want the guilt and responsibility of breaking up a family. I have made it clear that I would never leave for another man and that I am leaving for my sake and my peace of mind. Now that I am working torward my independence, my friend is totally tripping out and has flipped the script. I am still leaving because again it was not for him, but at the same time I do feel stupid and disappointed. My question to you is, is the chase better than the catch?
