The one thing I can’t figure out is how to make the corners on the ceiling look sharp because they are not. They are textured and old and you it shows with the color paints that I’m using. I wish I could afford crown moldings but I can’t. Is there a cheaper way to get moldings or a trick to make the edges razor sharp? KIM MYLES: A sharp line on a textured surface is almost impossible! Hard wood crown molding would be my first choice for you, but I understand that it’s not in the budget right now. Have you considered MDF versions? It’s less expensive than the real thing, and if you stick with a very simple style versus something more ornate, you can definitely get away with it. Read more:
