Every day we feature the beloved "Strawberry Letter" franchise that is so popular on "The Steve Harvey Morning Show" heard nationwide. Send in your letters and Shirley Strawberry will dish out the necessary advice. Today's topic: Haunted By Ghost of His Ex I need your help and advice Steve! I am writing you a letter all the way from sunny South Africa, obviously the radio station will not be correct then. Steve, after 25 years, I have finally met the man of my dreams and he is going to ask me to marry him in less than a month. Everything was perfect since the very beginning. I love him so much and I will never be able to let him go... I do, howerver, desperately need your advice on something. He's been honest with me since we started dating and told me that he has been married before and has a 3-year-old daughter with his ex-wife. He is 32, by the way. As soon as he told me this, at first I was shocked, cried a bit, and then I turned around and told him that I will stand by his side no matter what and we can deal with this together. He also got very hurt through all of this, and that's when I decided, I'm not here to make his life any harder, I want to make it better. My problem is, that whenever I think about my wedding day, I keep thinking he's been through this before, and I want it to be as special to him as it will be for me. He tells me every day how much he loves me, he wants to provide for me, he wants to protect me, and he assured me that there is absolutely no comparison between me and his ex. His family never liked her, they never approved of her, and they absolutely love me. Am I paranoid? Should I let this bother me? I told him that I will never ever come between him and his daughter, but his ex's "ghost" is hanging over me. I asked him if there is anything in his house left of her, even if it's just a candle that she bought, that he must please get rid of it...he went and did it the same day. Will you please help with some advice? Our love is so strong for each other and I dont want to ruin it with my paranoia. I just need to know that I am number one in his life...even though he told me this a million times! To submit your own letter to Strawberry Letter, click here.
