The Recording Academy is recognizing the King of Pop's grind by awarding him a Lifetime Achievement Award at a private event on January 30th, the day before the official Grammy Awards ceremony. There's also talk of an MJ Grammy Lifetime Achievement tribute special, though no dates plans have been finalized.
