President Obama arrived in Saudi Arabia on June 3 on his five-day trip to the Middle East where he will be addressing the Muslim world for the first time. After holding meetings throughout most of his time there, President Obama will give a speech in Egypt where he will talk about the peace process in the Middle East.
Shortly after the President landed, an unfortunate message from notorious terrorist and al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden surfaced to put a damper on the President’s visit abroad. In the message Bin Laden says President Obama was planting seeds for “revenge and hatred” toward the United States in the Muslim world, according to the WashingtonPost.com
The taped message says President Obama was following Bush’s policy of “antagonizing Muslims,” and warned Americans to be prepared for the “consequences.”
U.S. government officials are studying the recording to determine whether it really is Bin Laden’s voice since rumor is he’s been hiding in the mountains between Afghanistan and Pakistan .-WLW
