Chris Brown and his attorney, Mark Geragos, are headed back to court today, trying to work out a plea deal with theLos Angeles District Attorney’s office, according to MTVNews.com.
Earlier this month, Brown appeared in court and pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from his February assault on then girlfriend, Rihanna. It’s said his attorney will use his squeeky-clean image with no prior criminal activity and the fact that it seems as if Rihanna has pretty much moved on as factors as to why the case should be resolved immediately. This whole time, Brown’s camp has been reviewing the evidence allocated by the prosecution and may ask for more time at today’s hearing.
As for Rihanna, don’t expect her to show up by his side today. She recently asked through her attorney that the police return the $1.4 million in jewlery she wore the night of the altercation.
Could it be possible that the prosecution would hold on to the baubbles as a way of getting her to cooperate? What do you think? Let us know below.—WLW
