It appears ASU has had a change of heart regarding a special honor for President Barack Obama. Find out why the school has suddenly flipped the script.
Arizona State University is now apologizing to President Obama on their decision not to award him an honorary doctorate degree when he delivers the school’s commencement address on May 13, according to AOL.com. The president of the institution issued a statement saying the school is sorry for the confusion surrounding their invitation to President Obama. Subsequently, their choice not to give the new commander-in-chief a degree generated a lot of negative press. The school plans to expand their scholarship program in the president’s name instead. No word from the White House on the matter.—JW
