It’s an unwritten rule that U.S. presidents should not bow to kings, but it seems as though President Barack Obama did not receive that memo. During the opening of the G-20 meeting in London on Thursday, Obama greeted King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia with what looked like a bow, but White House aides refuse to address it as such. Conservatives beg to differ and view his salutation to the king as improper, while others believe it was merely a sign of respect. The President, who recently met with the Queen of England, has been heard saying that the United States should show more respect to the Muslim nation through a change in behavior.—PS
