The creator and cast of CW’s “The Game” recently cleared up rumors that the show had been cancelled, but are still asking fans to help secure the sitcom’s
future, according to a recent post on Mara Brock Akil’s facebook page.
On April 15, creator and writer Mara Brock Akil will meet with
the network to pitch the idea of making the half-hour show an hour-long dramedy. The cast members, including costars Tia Mowry and
Wendy Raquel Robinson, are requesting that fans visit the show’s official
message board on lounge.cwtv.com to prove to the network that people are
indeed tuning in each week. They hope to receive 1 million messages from
the show’s devotees before Akil renegotiates with the network.
Last summer, “The Game” was moved from Sunday nights and now airs on Fridays at 8:30 P.M (EST).—PS
