The 900-square-foot childhood home of Rock&Roll legend Jimi Hendrix was torn down this week, ending eight years of preservation efforts, according to the Associated Press. The house, located in Seattle’s Central Area neighborhood, was said to be the place where Hendrix discovered his musical talent and was located across the street from where the famed musician is buried. Hendrix is said to have lived in the house for only three years, starting from when he was ten.—WLW
