While many Americans are losing jobs, some are landing great ones. Actress and comedian Wanda Sykes is finalizing a deal with Fox for a Saturday late-night show, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The hourlong show, slated to premiere in the fall, will succeed the recently canceled sketch comedy “MadTV.” It is scheduled to feature a panel of recurring guests discussing topical issues from politics to pop culture. It also will include Sykes in field segments. Sykes is keeping busy, the Hampton University graduate is also scheduled to host the 2009 White House Correspondents’ Association dinner next month.—BB
