Oprah Winfrey’s prestigious South African boarding school is under scrutiny again. According to the New York Daily News, the school has been hit with its second sex scandal in less than two years. The newspapers reports that seven students were suspended last week for sexually harassing their classmates. Other girls were reportedly caught fondling each other or trying to get other girls to join them in lesbian liasons.
Lisa Halliday, a spokesperson for Ms. Winfrey, confirmed the girls had been suspended from the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy School for Girls, but gave few details. “It is because they contravened the school’s code of conduct,” she said. “We regard the incident as confidential.”—ZH
