As celebs made their way through this week’s fashion shows in New York City, a little bit of Washington made an appearance as well. White House Social Secretary Desirée Rogers attended a couple of key Fall 2009 shows in the Big Apple, according to Women’s Wear Daily. Known to many in Chicago as a stylista, Rogers attended both the Carolina Herrera (Rogers wore Herrera to the inaugural balls) and Donna Karan collections. But it was quickly back to business as the former Chicago socialite returned to the District on Tuesday morning. Many speculate that she needed to oversee the Governor’s Ball scheduled for Sunday, the Obama administration’s first major social function since the inauguration. —BB
