Bias Suit: NASCAR Settles $225 Million Suit with Black Woman
NASCAR settled a $225 million lawsuit filed by a former Black female official. USA Today reports Mauricia Grant was racially discriminated against and sexually harassed during her two-and-a-half-year stint with the racing organization. Grant claims she was referred to as "Nappy Headed Mo" and "Queen Sheba" by coworkers, and was told she worked on "colored people time." She also recounts sexual advances by two supervisors who have since been let go by the organization.
