President-elect Barack Obama’s inauguration plans are underway for a week-long victory bash and hotels are filling up quickly, reports Agence France-Press. Officials have arranged for the set up of nearly 30,000 chairs and they intend to provide blankets and ponchos if the weather turns inclement because security prohibits umbrellas. Carole Florman, communications director for the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies told AFP that members of the public desiring tickets must ask their senators or representatives, while others will go to top U.S. military officers and the foreign diplomatic corps.
