A private memorial service for singer Jennifer Hudson’s mother, brother and nephew will be held in Chicago this morning, reports the Chicago Sun-Times.
“American Idol” winner Fantasia is slated to sing.
Hudson’s mother, Darnell Donerson, 57, and brother, Jason Hudson, 29, were fatally shot at their Englewood home. The actress’s 7-year-old nephew, Julian King, was found dead in Jason Hudson’s missing SUV, which was taken from the home, according to the newspaper. The service is for invited guests only and will be closed casket.
According to the Sun-Times, celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey, Clive Davis, Usher, Queen Latifah and Patti LaBelle are expected to support Hudson at the funeral.
