Singer Prince was on stage recently winning over a group of about 200 fans who came out to see him perform in an intimate penthouse loft in New York to celebrate his new book, “21 Nights.” The artist performed for nearly five hours, ignoring the morning sun, reports the Associated Press. The proceeds from the event went to charity.
He thrilled the crowd with his personal hits like “Purple Rain” and “Little Red Corvette” and interpretations of songs by India.Arie and Janet Jackson.
His glossy coffee table book, published by Simon & Schuster, documents his record-breaking 21-night run at London’s 02 Arena last year. The hardback provides a glimpse of his onstage performance, personal behind-the-scenes moments of him and his band during the concert stint and “Indigo Night,” an exclusive CD capturing the artist’s live after-show sessions.
“This was a landmark event,” said Prince of the unprecedented 21 nights.
