Democratic nominee Barack Obama won the endorsement of the Washington Post in a candid editorial, according to Washingtonpost.com.
The paper said its choice was easily made in part because of the disturbing campaign strategy of Republican candidate John McCain’s decision to pick Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin, as his vice- presidential running mate. The Post called the choice the most irresponsible decision in choosing a running mate “who is not ready to be president.” In endorsing Obama, the paper said that while a McCain presidency would not equal four additional years of a Bush administration, it would draw on many of same policymakers who brought this country into financial crisis.
