Presidential hopeful Barack Obama has grabbed the support of more than three times as many newspapers as Republican John McCain, according to FOX News.
In fact, the market statistics from various newspapers put Obama’s endorsement tally at 50 and McCain’s at 16 as of last Friday. The Illinois senator gained the backing of several prominent newspapers, including the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, and the Chicago Tribune, which surprisingly has never endorsed a Democratic candidate for president. McCain has also gained print endorsements over the past several weeks, including the New York Post, the Union Leader in New Hampshire, and the Boston Herald.
