Singer V. Bozeman's Definition Of ‘Black Girl Magic’ Is Everything

Singer and Empire star V. Bozeman just nailed the definition of “Black Girl Magic.”

Although it was her scene-stealing role and stunning vocals on seasons 1 and 2 of FOX’s primetime musical drama Empire that captured the attention of music lovers on a grander scale, lovely and humble beauty V. Bozeman's perspective on "Black girl magic” really means is what made her stand out on the red carpet at ESSENCE Festival 2016 in New Orleans on Friday night.

“Black Girl Magic is knowing that you are enough,”  said Bozeman. “When you stand in that, I think that’s power in itself. When we realize that, and tilt our crown straight, that’s when we embody it.”

Bozeman, who also performed at the McDonald's 365 Black Awards on Friday morning, can be seen showing off her melanin magic in the visual to her latest single, “Go”.
