Meet the Tooley-Benjamin Family

The Tooley-Benjamin Family knows that with five kids and four adults along for the ride, any dream vacation must include excitement and activities that allow the younger children an opportunity to inspire their dreams, events that let mom and dad feel special, and family adventures that will last a lifetime.

"I didn't expect to have the time of my life dancing in the streets with the family during the block party. My family and I had a ball grooving with the Disney characters and dancers. We also were so impressed with Epcot. Each country was so authentic." — Tonya Tooley Wife & Mother

What do you look for in a vacation for your family?

We look for kid-friendly, cost conscious vacation spots that have a variety of activities for kids and grown-ups alike. We look for vacation locations with great restaurants, comfortable accommodations and lots of exciting things to do and see.

What challenges have you had in planning a family vacation in the past?

Planning a vacation that is appealing to both parents and kids is always a challenge. Cost factors are always a consideration…travelling with a family of 5 is no easy or inexpensive task. We don't mind paying for a great vacation, but with small children it's very tricky to plan. You've got to have accommodations large enough for two adults and three children, restaurants with high-chairs and booster seats, and service representatives that are patient and friendly with young guests. Ultimately, many families with kids so young they might decide to wait a while before they decide to travel, but my husband and I have always just packed the little ones up and taken them on great trips with us. Planning is key.

Please describe the most enjoyable part of your Disney World Experience?

Watching the children"discover" Disney World, through their little eyes. Seeing my 5 yr old as she experienced the Little Mermaid show, or hearing my 3 yr old son shriek in excitement as he road the Dumbo ride and hearing both children report to their grandparents at the end of the trip that the"teacup ride" is by far their favorite ride was great! As for my husband and I, sharing a fabulous Hibachi/Sushi dinner at Teppan Edo in Japan/Epcot proved to be one of the most enjoyable things we experienced. We also all agree that staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge was a great part of our trip. Opening the curtains and being able to watch zebras and giraffe's wander outside of our windows was simply amazing.

What did you experience during this trip that you did not expect

I didn't expect to have the time of my life dancing in the streets with the family during the block party. My family and I had a ball grooving with the Disney characters and dancers. We also were so impressed with Epcot. Each country was so authentic.

Did the Disney Vacation meet or exceed your expectation?

Our Disney Vacation absolutely exceeded our expectation!! Upon our arrival we had no idea what to expect (this was our first trip to Disney World). We were all overwhelmed by the whole Disney experience….we are still marveling at the beauty of the vast properties, the parks and the resorts. It was all very magical. We have already started discussing the Disney cruise we can't wait to take next!!
