Malia Obama Lands Another Big Hollywood Internship For The Summer

This summer, Malia will be a part of the behind the scenes action once again.

When the Obamas return from their post-White House vacation in Palm Springs, Malia Obama, will head right to a new summer internship – and it’s a big one.

Before she heads off to Harvard this fall, President Obama’s eldest daughter will spend the summer working with Hollywood mega producer Harvey Weinstein. Malia will intern at the New York office of Oscar-winning film powerhouse The Weinstein Company beginning next month, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

This won’t be Malia’s first time going behind the scenes in Hollywood. In 2015 she interned on the set of HBO’s hit drama Girls, and in the summer of 2014 she worked as a production assistant on the set of Halle Berry’s now-defunct CBS show Extant.

It is not yet known what role Malia will take on when she arrives, but it should come as no surprise that Weinstein would want the teen to learn the ropes at his company. he has been a major democratic donor over the years.

After graduating high school in 2016, Malia announced she would take a gap year to travel and see the world before attending Harvard this fall.
