Army Mom Faces Multiple Charges for Going AWOL

Should Criminals Not Be Allowed To Have Children?

Calvin Lowery, a father of four, penned a compelling article on Momlogic sparked from the recent death of  Shaniya Davis, the 5-year-old girl who disappeared last week and whose body was found on Monday in Sanford, North Carolina.

It turns out that the girl's 28-year-old mother, Antoinette Davis--who has been arrested and charged with human trafficking, felony child abuse-prostitution, filing a false police report and obstructing a police investigation--is pregnant.

70,000 Temp Government Jobs Available Right Now

The U.S. Census Bureau's Chicago Regional Census Center is recruiting people to work part time between Dec. 2009 and June 2010 to help perform the 2010 Census, according to the Chicago Sun Times.

You can work in the local Chicago community, you must be a U.S. Citizen, and all you need is a basic skills test, a background check, a driver's license and vehicle.

Boston Train Conductor is a Life Saver

On Friday night, Boston train conductor Charice Lewis saved a woman's life when the woman--who was under the influence of alcohol--fell off of the station's platform and on to the train tracks.

As frantic commuters waved at 27-year-old Lewis--who could not see the woman on the tracks--to stop the train, she quickly staged an emergency stop and "prayed for the best."

The woman on the tracks walked away unharmed and Lewis walked away a hero.

Kareem Abdul Jabbar: 'I Have Cancer'

Basketball all-star Kareem Abdul-Jabbar announced that he has cancer on Tuesday November 10. Abdul-Jabbar chose to come out about his disease in hopes of educating the public on his disease, chronic myeloid leukemia.
