It is a reparations proposal that would be supported by all Americans, pay 5 times more that what current proposal call for and help strengthen the Black community. The idea of black men making a difference dates back to the many contributions of Fredrick Douglas and George Washington Carver. While it is true that many men followed them, many have failed to elevate themselves to achieve a high school diploma. Lack of education and the ability to gain parity across community lines is the crux of the many problems that stifle the intellectual growth of black men. Education is the key to elevating ones mind to aspire greatness beyond what they can see. We all share the responsibility projecting an image of what our youth can be. We have to own our actions and commit to becoming a beacon of change by seek, reach and teach our youths. Finally, it is paramount that we teach our black youth the importance of mastering the speaking the english language.
