ESSENCE® Magazine is a proud supporter of the 2014 National Action Network National Convention taking place in New York City, Wednesday, April 9 to Thursday, April 10.  National Action Network is dedicated to the advancement of women and has expanded its focus to include issues facing women's rights. During the Convention, National Action Network will highlight the women who are championing the progression of African-American women in the workplace, politics, and media.
