I was visiting my grandparent's when my grandmother came in their bedroom as I was sitting in their chair in the room. She looked so proud while she was carrying a King size bedding from Fashion Designer Ralph Lauren called Polo. When she opened the clear plastic packaging that their bedding was in for their King size bed was floral pattern with burgundy, pink, and white flower's and four bows. The Polo bedding was very fancy and beautiful. They have a nice home, very well kept, beautiful wallpaper and funiture. They live in a nice,good,safe community in the country.

I know Majorie and her ex's from the past. She DESERVES a good man in her life after dealing with those losers. I hope she and Steve live happily ever after. God Bless You Marjorie and Steve.

Congrats Steve! I'm glad that you and your wife are doing well. God has blessed you beyond measure this year and I'm very grteful that you have a grateful heart towards Him. Don't worry about those who hate on you. They need God. Some people haven't grown even though they are of age. Unfortunately, many are jealous when others do well. Sad that our people are still letting that sin plague us. None of us are perfect, and therefore, we cannot judge another. Maybe if the haters stop hating long enough to pray they will receive blessings also. God bless you and I love listening to you every morning.

The comment about leaving God out of this is approriate in regards to the judgement and the after life and all that. The gift of life "is" the gift so let go of all your afterlife jargon. What goes around does come around and I would only guess that Steve and Marjorie know that as well. I listen to Steve in the morning sometimes and he does chew up and spit out quite a few under the guise of the strawberry letter but you know I always listen from the perspective of "is there anything for me to learn from all of this". Steve seems faithfully happy from what I can gather these days and from what he says. He praises his experience with God in the moment called now and isn't that what counts? It has been my expereince at any rate that I get a lot of second chances to get it "right" that is the way I treat myself and others. Perhaps Steve is just trying to get it right? I wish you, Steve and all those who have crossed your path peace and joy in this new year!

People kill me with the "only God can judge" comments..that's a lie. You are judged everyday and should be. You should be held accountable ESPECIALLY if you are in the realm of giving advice (which, by the way he IS.)
And if he has married the woman he cheated on his wife with, he has no room to give any woman any advice on anything. Point blank.

I must say that I am not surprised at Essence... the same magazine that 2 years ago put P.Diddy and his "lady" on the cover as an example of black family. A man who has 3 kids with that woman out of wedlock an at least 2 others elsewhere.
Until we get ourselves together, black childeren have nothing to look at as an example.

We all know Steve and his current wife dishonored the previous marriages.Lets be honest here. But Please people keep God out of your mess, what steve entered into is all about his own choices and crafted by him, I doubt God would have anything to do with any man who stands before him and twice violates covenents. It out of order and God is a God of order. What goes around comes around.

You know small minded people are really made to be laughed at. This goes with saying, some of you on this web page typing your responses are spewing innuendo, false judgment, assumptions, hear say, accusations, gossip, are very narcissistic in response, and hypocritical to say the least. I am flabbergasted at the level of contradiction displayed in most of the responses. The "morals, values, and standards” in which you demand, or set for others to follow, or in this case Steve Harvey, you refuse to follow those same guidelines yourselves. Oh, and we won't even talk about the skeletons, secrets, the dirty laundry of the past and mistakes that needs to be “washed or air dried, that is hiding in our closets, that we keep from being revealed and exposed. But yet, we have the audacity to pick up stones and throw them at others, who may have had set backs, or fallen from grace and needs God’s mercy… (If I were you, I wouldn’t throw that rock, seemingly when your names are at the top of the list of needing mercy). Indeed, I agree that your opinion is your right, and you’re entitled to it, but there is clear line between stating your opinion and recklessness and criticizing without substantiation. The older I become the more I respect people who can be transparent about their mistakes and use those mistakes as teaching tools to help develop, nurture and mold today’s generation and beyond. AND THAT IS WHAT STEVE HARVEY HAS DONE and is doing with HIS PAST, Present, and in all likelihood his future endeavors.

I buy Essence Magazine faithfully every month. I always read Essence Magazine cover to cover. But, I have to honestly say this Decemeber issue was the worst I have ever read. If I could I would ask for a refund.

I'm really not a big Steve Harvey fan nor have I read the acticle, but I will say he seems really happy. From the comments I've read I must agree if this were a "Strawberry Letter", he as well as she, would have been called "ignorant" and "triffling". As a wife of 17yrs it sounds like "some ignorant mess" (using Steve's words), and I hate to admit they are a very handsome couple and look genuinely in love. Besides, who are we to judge, I'm sure most of us have issues and have done things we're not proud of.

Wow!! Why are some of you so hung up on Steve's past. He has never claimed to be squeaky clean which makes him genuine. He has always kept it real and told you to learn from your mistakes. Steve is obviously really happy now and looking real good. He and his wife make a beautiful couple. Live your life to the fullest and don't dwell on the negative. Blessings.

The funny thing is what men like is that simple, it’s not difficult at all, but some people, some women think they know it all and end up becoming tainted.
