Michelle Obama is many things--a brilliant wife and mother, an accomplished lawyer, a sister, a daughter, our glorious First Lady--but she also happens to be one of the best-tressed women in America. That bob! Her bouncy cut is always glossy, neat, and flawlessly manicured--with all her commitments, we don't know how she does it (regular visit from her celebrated hairstylist, SoftSheen Carson Artistic Style Director Johnnie Wright, must help!). Happy Anniversary, SoftSheen-Carson!

kellydarklovely1.jpg

If you are a Black woman with hair--and we suspect that you are--it's safe to assume that you've tried at least one of SoftSheen-Carson's hair products over the years. Top-notch brands like Optimum Oil Therapy, Carefree Curl and Dark & Lovely (superstar Kelly Rowland proudly endorsed the relaxers in a recent ad campaign) have made the company the number one ethnic haircare company in the world.

This year, SoftSheen-Carson is celebrating it's ten year anniversary together--but prior to the merger a decade ago, SoftSheen and Carson had been providing cutting edge hair products and technology to Black consumers for more over a century!

To help commemorate SoftSheen-Carson's milestone anniversary, we chatted with the company's Senior VP and General Manger, Angela Guy, who filled us in on the legendary brand's rich history--which often mirrors the modern history of Black haircare, itself.

Sherri Shepherd is arguably the best thing to happen to the wig industry ("Atlanta Housewife" Kim Zolciak is somewhere seething right now). Every day on "The View," the comedienne/actress struts onto the set rocking a fierce new wig, and is always excited to gush to her co-hosts about her extensive collection. "I have synthetic, human, short, medium, long, Pocahontas, brown, black, mixed, straight, curly," the star recently told us in an exclusive interview. "You name it, I got it!" Here, we rounded up a gallery of her hottest styles, as well as quips from the best tressed star about wig maintenance, the magic of bobbi pins, and which wig she thinks will land her a man.

Read all about Sherri Shepherd's dramatic weight loss, here.
