Black girl magic happens everyday, but it’s not often we get to relish in those moments full screen, front and center! Our favorite celebrities sometimes get a bad rep for trying to look more Europeanized, but 2016 might’ve been the year the buck stopped with hair extensions and curl straightening. More and more of the celebrities we admire are celebrating their beauty, and blessing popular events with their melanin and natural hair textures. Not only are they using their platforms to flaunt their assets; they're also reminding others that it is ok to be, well...black and beautiful. Help us celebrate those times in 2016 when melanin was just unmatched.
