When ESSENCE.com asked Washington, D.C., residents if given the opportunity to make one phone call to President Obama, what would they ask him, they had a mix of political, professional and personal queries. “I work a couple of blocks from the White House, so I want to know: What career advice do you have for young Black professionals?”
“I’d want to know what’s the hardest thing so far about being President?”
“I would ask President Obama what can you do if somebody is shooting in my neighborhood?”
“I would ask President Obama what are you going to do about the war in Iraq? What are you doing to get our troops out of there, and what are you going to for the people in Iraq regarding the damage that we’ve already caused?”
