Fashion Philosophy: I’m happiest when clothing makes me feel good, when it’s an extension of my personality, fun, interesting, unique.
Who is your style icon? I have to go with a mix of Diana Ross (glamazon), Kendall Jenner (model off duty) and Rihanna (edgy, eclectic)
Which Black designers are on your radar now? Hood By Air for sure. Also, Public School because they’re still doing their thing AND creatively directing DKNY. Although independent designers Charles Harbison and William Okpo aren’t showing this season, I could fill my closets with everything they do.
Your fashion philosophy? Never underestimate the power of a pop of color.
What show’s are you looking forward to this season? Pyer Moss! The collab with Erykah Badu is going to be epic! Also looking forward to Marchesa and Tadashi Shoji. The dresses are so dreamy. Tracey Reese and Rebecca Minkoff are my favs for everyday wear.
What’s your go-to fashion week look? I’m all about a midi or maxi skirt. My go-to look would totally be a long, vibrant skirt and feminine top with cute flats. I give props to the girls who trek through fashion week in heels, but that just isn’t me.
Who is your style icon? Right now I’m loving Yara Shadid’s style. She’s young and her clothes are bright and vibrant. Her style is very Kate Spade, Milly-esque and I’m obsessed with that!
Fashion philosophy: Always wear what works best for you. Keep it simple, but luxe at the same time! Don't focus so much on the trends that you become a carbon copy. Stand out by being yourself!
Who is your style icon? For guys, I would have to say someone smooth like Billy Dee Williams, or eccentric dudes like Pharrell and Kanye West. For girls, I would have to say my mom, for always accessorizing so elegantly, and Zoe Kravitz for always bringing an 'edge.'
