“As he proposed, I was thinking, oh my God is this really happening, did I have too many drinks?” Kira recalls. “Am I dreaming?” She wasn’t. It was the beautiful beginning of the next chapter in their love story.
“Eric is the best man for me because he gets me and he complements me,” Kirs tells us. “I know that he always has my best interests at heart and will do everything he can to provide for, protect, and love our union. At my best and my worst, he is there smiling.”
“My parents love him,” says Kira. “My friends think he is funny and laid back.”
Kira had no idea Eric planned to propose when he did. She was totally caught off guard.
“I knew that she was special the first day I met her and that alone made me extremely interested in her,” says Eric.
“I’m looking forward to many years of adventure and memory building with my best friend,” says Kira. “Hopefully we will be blessed enough to share our love with some new additions to the family soon.”
“If you’re spying on us on a Friday night, you’ll probably catch us having a random dance party in the living room,” says Kira. “Eric is handsome, thoughtful and just incredible.”
“I love that my future husband is a man of God and just as committed to our future as I am,” says Kira.
“I love my soon to be in laws,” says Kira. “I’m definitely blessed. He also has a nice relationship with my parents.”
“Eric picked out thee most perfect halo engagement ring for me all by himself,” says proud bride-to-be Kira.
“We like to do new things together,” says Eric. “Things neither one of us have ever done. I enjoy seeing the expression on her face when we experience new things together.”
“Kira is extremely thoughtful, and she is always making sure that her family and friends are happy, before she worries about herself,” Eric tells us.
Kira and Eric plan to have a travel-themed wedding day. (We can’t wait to see those photos!)
“After our first date I remember telling my friend that I was going to marry him,” Kira recalls. “Everything was just so natural between us. On our second date the coasters that our drinks were on said ‘The One.’ It was definitely a sign.”
“Eric is very very thoughtful and pays close attention to detail,” says Kira. “One year he did ‘7 Days Of Love’ for Valentine’s Day. Each day was a new surprise: flowers, edible arrangement, a random love note, a spa day. Everyone thought it would lead to a proposal, but I knew it was just him expressing his love. He didn’t propose until almost a year later!”
“We love to travel and we have been to over three different countries this year alone,” says Kira.
“We are quite spontaneous, so our evenings can range from catching a live band or having a cook off to hosting a random get together with family and friends,” Kira tells us.
“When we’re finally husband and wife, I just can’t wait to call him my ‘husband,'” says Kira.
Kira and Eric still can’t decide whether to honeymoon in Greece, Fiji or Italy. Join us in congratulating the happy couple one more time. Leave your well wishes below. Want to see your engagement announced in Just Engaged? Email us now.
