A Chance Encounter
Tinique, 32, an early childhood educator, met Baltimore Orioles player Bill, 32, at a dinner party and their chemistry was instant. A year and a half later, he proposed at that very restaurant while sitting at the exact same table where they first met. Last fall they tied the knot in a lavish Atlanta wedding ceremony and reception. Share their love!
“On a trip to New York City, I went to the Amsale boutique and loved at least five dresses, but the dress I chose spoke to me most because it had a very romantic, princess feel,” says Tinique of her lovely ball gown.
“I knew fairly early in our relationship that Bill was special because he treated me so well, and after only dating a month I met his mother,” says Tinique. “She is a very straightforward, honest woman, so when she told me I was special and to take care of her baby, I knew he was serious.”
“Two Birds designed the bridesmaid’s dresses,” says Tinique. “It was the first dress we saw and loved. I chose it mostly because it’s a beautiful, very versatile dress. I wanted the girls to feel sexy, love their dresses and look beautiful in them.” Two Birds gowns can all be worn over 15 different ways, making it a popular favorite with brides who have large bridal parties.
When it came time to select the perfect blooms and décor for her rosette themed wedding day, Tinique enlisted the help of Robert Long of Atlanta, and Lauren Brewton of Events with Grace coordinated all the big and small details of their big day.
“We used lots of roses because I love them,” says the bride. “We added peonies, orchids, hydrangea, lily of the valley and gardenias, although there were thousands of the most beautiful roses.”
Church of Love
“We were married in a church, which is something that was important to us,” Tinique shares. “Following family tradition and having our marriage blessed in the house of the Lord was special for both of us.”
The happy couple made sure to include their 9-month-old daughter Sydni in their heartfelt ceremony. Following the formal pronouncement of Mr. & Mrs. William Hall III, by the presiding minister, Sydni was handed to Bill and the three of them walked down the aisle as a family.
“I’m drawn to a soft pink, blush and champagne palette,” Tinique admits. “These colors induce a calm elegance that I cannot explain, but never tire of. I wanted the wedding style to be ‘princess’ beautiful, without being too garish.”
“We didn’t have a theme, however, since we are a family, we decided to have a family crest commissioned,” Tinique tells us. “We used the crest on the save the dates, the invitations and throughout the wedding venues.”
Bill and Tinique’s beautiful wedding cake was covered in a decadent rolled fondant. The bottom, middle and top tiers were embellished with fondant floral rosettes to match their theme. We love the edible jewel brooch! “I chose the cake style because it fit perfectly with the elegance of the wedding I had always imagined,” says Tinique. “Visually, it was absolutely stunning!”
“Nothing went wrong," says Tinique. "It was truly a perfect day!” Did you enjoy the happy couple's romantic wedding style? Leave them some comment love and well wishes below. To see more photos from their big day, visit The Bride's Cafe now.
