When Renee’ made a last minute change of plans, she wound up sitting at a sports bar across from her future husband, Reggie, who made his move in the parking lot. Their love story just made us melt. See their modern wedding in Atlanta!
I Love You For You
“Reggie allows me to be myself without any judgments,” says Renee’, when asked why she couldn’t wait to be his wife.
"I wanted something that was sexy and showed off my curves," says Renee' of her stunning gown. "As soon as I tried on the dress and walked out of the dressing room, the expression on everyone's faces was priceless."
'I didn't want to feel hidden, so I chose not to wear a traditional veil," says the bride. "Instead, I wore a birdcage veil which served more as an accesory to the side chignon. The only pieces of jewelry I wore were a tennis bracelet and fuschia chandelier earrings."
We hope all brides remember to smile as big as Renee' did on her special day. "I was ambivalent about finding true love," she tells us. "I enjoyed dating and had high expectations of men. At the time, I was planning on moving back to Los Angeles, my hometown. So, I would say love caught me completely off guard."
Renee’s stepfather escorted her down the stairs and her mother then joined them so the three of them could walk down the aisle together. “I walked down the aisle to ‘You’ by Jesse Powell,” she tells us.
Renee’ and Reggie met at the altar at 7pm on a Friday evening. We love the elegance and romance of their modern evening ceremony. “Overall our ceremony décor was very simple, but eye catching,” says the bride.
During the ceremony, the couple exchanged vows than paid tribute to Renee’s father and Reggie’s aunt who are both deceased. “We honored them by having a family member light a candle on their behalf,” she adds.
Renee's Winnie Couture gown was absolutely stunning from head-to-toe and from every angle. We're so in love with this portrait of the happy bride who patiently waited for the love of her life, and found him in the most unexpected place.
"The overall theme of the wedding was opposing forces," says Renee'. "Masculine and feminine. Urban and elegance. Fire and ice." We love how the couple's photographer, Taun Henderson, was able to capture their theme for the cameras.
Nearly 200 guests showed up to party the night away with Renee' and Reggie. They asked the DJ to spin West Coast and Southern hits to pay tribute to the bride and groom. It sure looks like it was a great party!
