When a friend suggested Piper and Carl have their wedding at The Green Building in Brooklyn, they fell instantly in love with the space. “We immediately knew we had found the right place,” says Piper. “Not just because of their lenient hours but because of the architecture and vibe of the space.”
Long before Piper met Carl she bought a ring with the phrase “Amour, Amour, Amour” engraved all over it. She thought it might bring her luck in love and she was right. She would eventually wear it the night she met Carl.
Piper’s friends mean everything to her and she warned Carl that meeting them would be worse than meeting the family. When she got around to introducing the gang to Carl, they loved him as much as she does.
“Our first dance began with 15 seconds of ‘At Last, then we gave the DH a signal to mix it and he switched it up and spun ’it Takes Two’ by Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock and we did a choreographed dance to it,” Piper shares.
“Our good friend’s Desmond’s toast involved about ten of our friends standing up and reciting the lyrics to ‘Poison’, our favorite love song,” Piper shares, when asked about her favorite wedding memories.
Piper and Carl really know how to party. The couple hired a hot DJ for the wedding reception and their after party. Guests they couldn’t invite to the wedding came to the after party which ended at 3am.
