Lawyers Nicole, 36, and George, 42, met at a job interview. His firm was doing the hiring and she was in line for an associate position. She got the job (of course!) and when she started, sparks began to fly. Matt had never met any women like Nicole, whom he had so many things in common with. On Christmas Eve morning, with a little help from their son, Matt asked Nicole to be his wife. Their late summer wedding style was absolutely beautiful. Share their love!
Nicole’s dear friend, hairstylist Carla Gentry, styled her locks for her big day while Lauren Napier created makeup looks for her and her bridal party.
Nicole’s bridesmaids wore pretty, peony-colored Belsoie gowns from Jasmine Bridal. “With so many bridesmaids, I wanted to chose a dress that fit everyone’s body type and skin tone but still fit in with the overall theme of the wedding day,” she explains.
The bridal party poses for a portrait the couple is sure to cherish forever. What a lovely bunch, and just look at those smiles.
Nicole wore Swarvoski crystal drop earrings and a matching crystal comb in her hair. She carried a handkerchief that her aunt gave her as her “something old” and “borrowed” her bridesmaids bracelet for the special occasion.
Nicole found her lovely Pnina Tornei gown at New York City’s Kleinfeld Bridal. She took her two best girlfriends shopping with her. “I had tried on a couple of dresses that were nice,” says Nicole. “But, when I tried on this dress, it just felt right.”
“Our children were honorary bridesmaids and groomsmen,” says Nicole.
Nicole and Matt walked down a 100-foot, white aisle runner decorated with hundreds of fuchsia rose petals.
Nicole’s father had the pleasure of escorting her down the aisle to Stevie Wonder’s “Ribbon In the Sky.”
“We chose Birchwood Manor because we wanted a venue with an outside space for our ceremony,” says Nicole. It was an awesome selection. Their romantic, garden ceremony was a real stunner.
“A good friend of mine sent me a message the week before the wedding that said, ‘Don’t stress anything on the day of your wedding. Your face should hurt from smiling so much,’ and that is exactly what happened,” says Nicole. “We smiled and had the time of our lives.”
Nicole and Matt exchanged traditional vows. “I felt complete and ready,” says the happy bride.
After succesfully sealing the deal, Nicole raises her bouquet in celebration. Talk about a feel-good moment.
“Matt is my best friend and the father of my kids,” says Nicole. “He definitely completes me. He’s strong, handsome, intelligent, kind, fun-loving and a really good dad.”
“I knew Matt was one of a kind immediately,” Nicole raves. “He has a personality that draws people to him. I knew he was the one when we would spend time doing absolutely nothing and I would love him and want to do absolutely nothing with him all over again.”
Three hundred and fifty guests attended the couple’s wedding celebration.
Gorgeous gold linens added just the right touch of ambiance to the table tops.
Newlyweds Matt and Nicole made a joyous entrance to the sounds of Beyonce’s smash hit “Love On Top.”
The team at Erganic Design helped Nicole and Matt plan a wedding day as fabulous as they are. The final outcome was a complete success.
Matt and his new wife chose Miguel’s smooth jam “Adorn” for their first dance song.
Mr. and Mrs. Middleton sure do look happy in each other’s arms.
The elegant reception dinner featured three unique tablescape designs to add visual interest.
Nicole and Matt chose to go with a refined elegance theme for their ceremony and reception décor. Classically romantic florals, layered with bold textures of mercury glass vases, mirrored accents, gold and nickel finishes and lush linens created wistful drama as far as the eye could see.
Four delicious tiers of gourmet cake decorated with pretty fondant helped to make Nicole and Matt’s luxe wedding cake the talk of the evening.
Newlyweds and proud parents, Nicole and Matt, raise their glasses for a special toast at the reception. We don’t think this dynamic duo could look any happier. Do you?
“D-Nice was our DJ and he set the mood up perfectly,” says Nicole. “People danced all night and when the lights came on, they did not want to stop dancing.”
“Matt and I wanted a wedding that was fun,” says Nicole. “We wanted it to feel like a party with great music, great company and great food and drinks. That is exactly the type of wedding we had.”
“It was helpful to plan the wedding together,” Nicole insists. “We both had a vested interest in every aspect of our wedding day. We never made a final decision without first consulting the other.”
“I love Matt’s since of humor and charismatic personality,” Nicole reveals.
“I didn’t think I’d find true love the way I did, but I wouldn’t change the way I found it,” says the bride. “Our story and our journey brought us closer together and made our bond stronger.”
“Matt and I have formed an unbreakable bond,” says Nicole. “As long as we’re together, absolutely nothing else matters.”
