The bride’s favorite flowers are lilies and orchids. Remembering this, Kevin proposed to his beloved by hiding an engagement ring in a bouquet of the buds after cooking her a surprise dinner of pineapple chicken.
“I totally wasn’t expecting a proposal because I was just complaining to him about doing all the housework,” recalls Natasha with a laugh.
The loving couple first bonded in June 2004 while stuck in traffic on New York’s Southern State Parkway.
“I was jamming to my Carl Thomas CD and he started talking to me. He made me laugh after making fun of my singing, we exchanged cellular numbers and shortly after started dating,” remembers Natasha about she and Kevin’s first meeting.
The newlyweds both enjoy traveling and look forward to becoming regular jet-setters now that they’re married. The spent one glorious week in St. Maarten for their honeymoon.
“We’re probably go to Jamaica and visit Kevin’s childhood home for Christmas,” says Natasha.
Natasha admits that she was skeptical about ever walking down the aisle of matrimony prior to meeting Kevin.
“It usually took me so long to settle into a relationship. I thought I might never find the find the right one,” Natasha explains surrounded here by the groom and all his best buddies.
Natasha, a high school English teacher and Kevin, a computer analyst, were both determined not to go into debt for a wedding.
“I wasn’t even going to have a ceremony at all but we decided to do something small for our mothers,” explains Natasha pictured here with her mother by her side (in pink).
