Michae purchased her Alita Graham wedding gown at one of the country’s premiere bridal salons, Kleinfeld in New York City.
“I’m a fan of the TLC show, ‘Say Yes to the Dress’ so I made about four or five trips back and forth to New York for fittings to get my gown just right,” confesses Michae.
Michae, an only child, is walked down the aisle by her father. Koran went the traditional route and asked for Michae’s hand in marriage before officially proposing to his beloved.
“I have always put a high value on respect and leading by example. I realize that I plan to have children one day and it is very important for my child’s mate to ask for my blessing,” expresses Koran.
Koran reveals that Michae’s non-traditional name was the catalyst for their relationship.
“Michae was a unique name that I had never heard before and my first instinct was to find out more about her,” he explains.
Michae was smitten with Koran shortly after meeting him as well.
“He was consistent throughout our courtship and offered me great advice,” shares Michae about Koran.
The couple chose “You Are My Lady” by Freddie Jackson for their first song to dance to as official husband and wife.
“We wanted it to be a celebration and it exceeded all expectations,” says Koran of his the wedding reception. He adds, “Everyone danced all night and we had the time of our lives.”
