Houston bride Brandis hired a Los Angeles based hair stylist and makeup artist who has worked with burlesque dancers to help her achieve vintage beauty perfection.
“I have a thing for corset tops, sweetheart necklines, and slim fit dresses so that is how I wanted my wedding dress to look,” Brandis said when describing how she went about shopping for her dream dress.

Having just graduated nursing school, Brandis was in search of a one-of-a-kind location for their wedding that held meaning. She chose the eleqgant restaurant Trevisio inside the Houston Medical Center because it overlooked many of the hospitals where she performed her clinical trials.
The flower girl lets the guests know that the beautiful bride is coming.
Just look at the beaming bride headed down the aisle toward her lucky groom.
“Our wedding location was much more than just a beautiful space,” says Brandis. “It has such special underlying significance.”
“We had a long distance relationship the entire courtship and engagement,” Brandis says. “He lived in San Antonio and I lived in Houston.”
Brandis and Ronald framed their favorite engagement photos in lovely dark wood vintage frames.
Guests were encouraged to leave kind words for the newlyweds in a handmade wedding keepsake box.
Brandis and Ronald cut a rug for the first time as Mr. and Mrs. Theodore.
Brandis drew this cake design and her baker brought it to life. Isn’t this cake a beauty?

Brandis, who planned the couple’s entire big day herself, left no details unplanned. If we didn’t know any better wed think these wedding photos came right out of an album from 1952.
Since Brandis and Ronald lived apart their entire relationship, on date nights when they couldn’t be together they’d rent the same movie from Red Box and watch it at the same time. Adorable, isn’t it?
