The new year is upon us. And judging from all the great movies, new music releases, and TV shows in the works, there’s lots to be excited about. Being Mary Jane is back on our screens, Beyonce's getting back on the road and Lupita Nyong'o just might take home Oscar gold. Here are 20 reasons we’re predicting a great year.
'Being Mary Jane' Returns
The story of a flawed career woman looking for love hit all the right spots when it debuted this past summer. Gabrielle Union returns as news anchor Mary Jane Paul for the new series premiering tonight on BET.

Kevin Hart and Will Packer Are On a Roll
After grossing nearly $100 million with 2012's Think Like a Man, the actor-producer power duo are gearing up to bum-rush the box office once again. First up is the buddy comedy Ride Along, featuring Ice Cube (January 17), followed by About Last Night (February 14), co-starring Michael Ealy. Regina Hall and Joy Bryant. Next they'll get the whole gang back together for the sequel Think Like a Man Too in June. And with the romantic comedy The Wedding Ringer already slated for 2015, Hart and Packer are definitely on a roll.
