DeLano Ford grew up within a supportive, loving community in NC but realized that successful completion of high school did not prepare him for Morehouse once he arrived. Eventually graduating with honors, DeLano committed to finding solutions to educational inequity. Prior to joining TFA, he was Deputy Superintendent of Transformation with the Louisiana Recovery School District and the COO of KIPP New Orleans. DeLano graduated from Morehouse and earned an MBA from Cornell University.
Dr. Shervington is the President and CEO of The Institute of Women and Ethnic Studies, a community-based public health institute in New Orleans. She is also a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Tulane University Medical Center. Dr. Shervington is a graduate of New York University School of Medicine; she completed her residency in Psychiatry at the University of California San Francisco. Dr. Shervington is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
