R&B songstress Leela James has much in store for 2017 and she's ready to heat up the winter airwaves with the second single from her forthcoming sixth studio album, Did It For Love.
The 2017 ESSENCE Festival performer gave fans a taste of what's to come with the release of the album's lead single, "Don't Want You Back" last fall, which quickly climbed up the charts. Now with just over a month left before the album's official release on March 31, the talented soul-singer is aiming to do it all again with her new single, "Hard For Me."
A seasoned vocalist with plenty of notable experience under her belt, "Hard For Me" hears James takes her unique sound to new heights as she cautions a difficult lover to change his stubborn ways and allow love in before it's lost forever.
"Don't make it hard for me, baby," she sings on the song's chorus. "I just wanna love you. Let me love you." Take an exclusive first listen to "Hard For Me" in full below.
