Net Worth: $12 million

Tina Wells, 28
Voorhees, New Jersey
Millionaire at: 25

Business:
Buzz Marketing Group, a trend-spotting organization that gathers research on the teen–tween market

How She Did It: In 1996 when Wells was 16 years old, she started writing product reviews for a New York newspaper called The New Girl Times as she began building Buzz Marketing Group. She later wrote a report about trends for a marketing director and was told that hers was better than one that had cost $25,000 to complete. After taking an independent study course in college and learning how to write a business plan, she got her first big-paying client. Wells has launched a network of 9,000 teenage and young adult “buzzspotters.” She explains, “They scope out what their peers are thinking and doing.” Her other ventures include a media company and real estate investments.

Inspiration: “My passion for life has always fueled me. That is the main driver toward my success.”

Best Advice: “The key to entrepreneurial success is to find your passion. When things get tough—and they do—that seems to push me through.”

I am just plain tired. I am administrative assistant; underemployed and in debt. I have my Masters in Public Administration and I am tired. My gift is edification and giving out information-how I translated that passion into dollars. I decided to start my consulting business for non-profits. I am more tired than scared that's my motivation. GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU.
