Robert Gray's magical proposalBlack love does indeed exist! As living proof, check out Robert Gray’s magical proposal, that was all the buzz on the Internet. This brother from Atlanta went to great lengths to show his intended, Keisha Williams, how much he loved her. To save money for a proposal that required ten hotel rooms, 400 roses flown in from South Africa, dozens of candles and a personal photographer, Gray rented out his home for a year and moved in with his sister. When asked why he went to such lengths to propose, Robert said, "It was truly a vision from God."

Now, we'd like to hear from you. Tell us how your beloved proposed to you.

March 10th 2008 will be the day that my Soul finally felt the reality of Love. The day before my birthday, my handsome boyfriend, Shaun had came to visit me and spend my birthday (March 11th) with me. I was confidently excited to see Shaun, my mind wouldalways capture the warmth and caring ways that he tend to surround me with. When I opened my front door and looked at him, I knew that something special was going to happen. We went through our routine of kissing and hugging, and we shared a little conversation, which led to my bedroom. In my bedroom, Shaun asked me to hold my hand out, and he placed a Titanium ring on my ring finger with the words, "Julia My Wife, I Love You May 27th 2009". My heart was in a land of peace and right then and there, I realized the balance that love brings to my life, and my future. While Shaun adapted to my new found excitement and glow, he kindly asked me to close my eyes. In my mind, I thought that a birthday gift such as a necklace was on its way to

It's always a pleasure to see two young people in love with each other and even better, in love with God. Robert is indeed one in a million he is like a needle in a hay stack, hard to find. I am extremely happy for keisha because she seems to be so emotional through it all, the tears and anxiety all were worth it all in the end. I pray that God continue to bless them amd their famalies!

I was 14 and my husband was 16 when he proposed to me. We were at his house watching TV in his mothers bedroom, when out of nowhere he just came out and asked me to marry him. Of course, I didnt know what to say I sat there and stared at him with this blank look on my face and out of nowhere the word yes came out of my mouth. 11 years and 2 childern later we are still happy, and we are praying on buying a house by the end of this year. Best time of my life.

WOW. Loved the parts when they all pray together with each group that is special not only to her but to him as well. BEAUTIFUL!!!

walking towards me in that suit toting a dozen of light blue (my favorite color) roses. I began to cry as by now I could figure out what was going on. He smiled, handed me the roses, said "I Love You" got down on one knee and proposed in front of the whole department. There wasn't a dry eye in the building .... of course I said "Yes." We were joined together in Holy Matrimony Aug. 27, 2005.

My boyfriend and I use to meet at home everyday for lunch, on this particular day he came home for lunch and said he had a business meeting after work and preceeded to change into a suit, I asked him why he couldn't come home after work and change and hesaid that the meeting was right after work so I didn't think anything of it. He kissed me goodbye and we left and went on back to work. When I got back to my desk, my co-workers phone across from me was ringing off the hook so I answered it and saw the number was my boyfriend, I answered and told him that he had called the wrong number and was calling someone else's desk, he made up a story and we said goodbye, once again I didn't think anything of it. All of a sudden I could hear commotion behind me andI looked up to see my whole department standing behind my desk grinning and I stood up and in the distance I could see someone walking through the department door with my girlfriend, as they got closer I realized it was my man walking

I HAD JUST MET HIM, AND WE STARTED HAGING OUT FOR A WHILE TRYING TO GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER ,THEN ONE EARLY MORNING HE GOT UP TO GO TO WORK, CAUSE HE HAD TO BE AT WORK AT 4AM HE LEFT ABOUT 3AM AND I WENT BACK TO SLEEP I WOKE TO MY PHONE RINGING, AND PEOPLE SCREAMING OUTSIDE SO I GOT UP LOOKED OUT MY WINDOW IN THE FRONT AND SAW THAT OUR APARTMENTS WERE ON FIRE SO I GRABBED MY DAUGHTER, AND WOKE MY FRIENDS SO WE WOULD MAKE IT OUT IN TIME. w. As I stood in front of the large crowd Richard gives his speech. All of the sudden the crowd began to scream and cheer! I turned around to see two scuba-divers in the tank holding a sign that read, "Jewel Will You Marry Me???? When I turned back and Richard was on one knee. I whispered ???Yes??? and everyone screamed! The entire proposal was broadcast on the news and it was published in the local paper. Richard turned what would normally be a somber day into a day of celebration! We wered on Saturday, August 25, 2007 and are so thankful for having been blessed with each other!

-Jewel Taylor (cont'd)

On Saturday, August 12, 2006, my fiance Richard and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary since our first date at the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, NJ (our first date was 08-13-05: exactly ten years since my mother passed away). Needless to say I had no idea that Richie was going to propose...he seemed nonchalant the entire day. We picked the shows that we wanted to see and went early to get a seat for the "Scuba Snacks" Show in the Ocean Realm Theater (the tank serves as the screen like at a movie theater??it's a wide open auditorium with the huge tank up front). The Ocean Realm Theater show began as the divers fed the sea life. The show's host asked for a "volunteer" to help with the grand finale. Richard raised his hand and I told him "This is for thkids!" and Richard replied, "No, they asked for adult volunteers." The host asked Richard questions and Richard stated he was with me. The host thought it was a good "idea" to have me come down to the stage area to "help" with the sho

This is the most wonderful proposal I have ever seen, even the movies can't compare to such beauty. I have seen your video several times over and still cry as if watching it for the first time, while also recommending it to others as a"must see". It was Christmas Day (2007) and I went up to his job. He had told me the night before that he wasn't able to get me anything on my list but a sweater. I was alright with the gift because it was the first time we would have been able to spend Christmas together. I drove up to his job and he asked me to sit next to the Christmas tree. I had no idea what he was up to. Then he came out with a bag of gifts. He handed me my first present which was an ipod accessories kit, then another gift a Heros DVD of the first season of the show and then the third present a camera. I was so excited because it was everything I asked for and in being silly I picked up the camera bag and said "it even comes with a cute bag" and as I said that I felt something in it and thought someone left something in the bag. I opened it up and it was a ring box, I opened the box and it was my ring. I looked up at him and he got down on one knee and proposed.......it was the Best Christmas Ever!!!

In April 2004, I took my boyfriend home to Deerfield, Florida to meet my folks. He asked my dad for permission to propose on Saturday and on Sunday he proposed to me in the family's church garden in front of everyone. I cried and was so overjoyed. We became husband and wife on August 21st, of 04. I am more in love today with that man and we are the parent of a beautiful little nine month old baby girl name Sarah.

-Lannie Thomas

The day before valentines day, my fiance picked me up from work. He was supposed to go to school, but he didn't and I was really upset, because I needed to finish his gift. We went home and I went to our bedroom so i could finish his scrapbook. When I was done, I went downstairs to finish the cupcakes for our daughters daycare and the laundry. At about midnight he got the video camera out and asked me to watch a video that he made with our 3 year old daughter. I didn't want to at first, but he made me. Isat down and while I was folding the laundry he put on the video and the first thing that comes on the screen is our daughter saying "mommy will you marry daddy?" I was in complete shock. He then proceeded with lip singing a song by R. Kelly "Forever", while holding the ring in his hand. While I was watching this, he got down on one knee in front of me and said "Baby will you marry me?" It was the best Valentines Day I have ever had.

-Maya Dennis

I watched your proposal at 3 this morning and went to sleep all aglow, worshipping the Lord. My dear brother Robert, you are an anointed man of God and you have showered your set woman with a covering that only God could orchestrate and design. You have truly an example to men all over the world (as people of God should always be!) My loving sister Keisha, I worshipped with you as you entered every room. My God, girl, how could you stand under such a weighty cloud of glory? Well, the word of God says, "Covet the best gifts..." I began to say aloud to God, "Daddy, that's what I want--to be courted and serenaded by an awesome man of God!! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Oh and I loved Shekinah Glory's "How deeply I Need You!" I can't wait to see what God unfolds in your lives.

DEAR ROBERT & KEISHA,

I REALLY CANT FINDS THE WORDS TO SAY. I AM SO OVER WHELMED UNTIL I'M SPEECHLESS. I AM TRULY A BELIEVER NOW THAT DREAMS DO COME TRUE & THERE IS A SUCH THING AS FAIRY TALES. WHAT REALLY IMPRESSED ME THE MOST WAS THE IDEA OF PRAYERIN EACH & EVERY ROOM. THAT SHOWED ME THAT THIS WILL BE A WEDDING BLESSED FROM GOD. WITH GODS BLESSINGS THERES NOTHING ELSE YOU COULD ASK FOR.THIS WAS SO IMPRESSIVE THAT IT GAVE ME A CHANGE OF HEART. I HAD BEEN IN A RELATIONSHIP OF 16 YRS. EIGHT OF THOSE YEARS WERE MARRIAGE. MY EX HUSBAND WAS EVERYTHING I COULD DREAM OF AND MORE. I JUST KNEW WE WOULD BE TOGETHER UNTIL DEATH DO US APART. BUT THE ADULTRY MY HUSBAND BROUGHT IN OUR MARRIAGE, DESTROYED THE MARRIAGE. I TOLD GOD I'LL NEVER GET MARRIED AGAIN. I THOUGHT I WOULDNT MAKE IT AFTER BEING WITH MY EX HUSBAND FOR SO LONG.I CONTINUED TO PRAY & GOD ANSWERED MY PRAYER. HE SENT ME A GOD FEARING MAN THAT I BECAME FRIENDS WITH. THE FRIENDSHIP WAS MOVING SO FAST INTO THE DIRECTION OF FALLING

My husband and I are both over 50, so people are surprised when I tell them I met him on the dating site "Blackpeoplemeet.com" I read his profile, contacted him and we began to correspond. Then we started talking on the phone for about a week every morning while I walked the treadmill. When he finally asked to meet me face to face, I was busy taking my wheelchair bound mother to the airport - he offered to come over and help me. I was surprised and please that he had such patience - and on our next date he came to take me to dinner, show and church and hasn't left since. I told him I did not believe in shacking up - so he said let's get married. The day after New Years 2007 while traveling home from Flordia where I met his family, , we stopped offin Valdosta, GA and got married at the historical Courthouse. We had a beautiful reception a week later with our Atlanta friends and my family. I've never been happier, and he says the same.

-Becca from Atlanta

I am so happy for you two. I am keeping the faith and waiting on God to Bless me as he has Blessed you two. I can't wait to see the wedding pictures because i know it is going to be wonderful.

My engagement took place at the begining of this year in church, as soon as the clock striked midnight... Everyone had just finished their midnight prayer and the pastor called up anyone who wanted to change their life in the new year living according toGOd. My son's father went up to the alter. So I went with him to stand by his side. After the pstor prayed for us,I started to walk away and when I turned around I saw all of my friends and family members, then I saw his family members...I remember thinking what is everyone doing here??? When I turned back around he had the mic in his hand holding a little black box in the other and got on one knee.......and all I remember after that is hugging him!!!!! But since I got copy of the propsal from church I now know he said, "You have given me the best four years of my life and I want to know if you would spend the rest of your life with me" We are now planning our wedding for March 09!!!!!! Keep the faith laides!!!! and look at that my

my husband and i have been married for 28 years, it only seems yesterday, i remember when he proposed to me it was once evening after he picked me up from work. He recently asked if i had to do it again would i remarry him, my answer was yes and will always be yes. Even though we didn't have a big wedding, actually we got married at the justice of the peace, it was still enjoyable, we really couldn't afford rings, we were dirt poor but the love we had for each other was so strong, i wish all the new couples the very best and God's blessings on each other. It's God that will see you through, everyday is a new day that allows us to go on the strenght that God's gives us. Stay with God and everything will be alright. Make the best of each and every day youhave together, so many couples don't have this chance for one reason or another.

I have been married for 4 wonderful years, yet I remember when my husband proposed as if it were yesterday as opposed to being almost 6 years ago. It was my graduation day from college...I had just received my Bachelor's Degree. My parents were throwing me a huge celebration/cook out with all of our family members and friends. I had just finished making a thank you speech to my parents for all of their help, support, encouragement, and love during the past 4 years of my college career. My husband stood up and began making a speech about how proud he was of my accomplishments. He then read a poem that he had written about 6-9 months earlier in the year. It was a tribute poem to me and the love we shared. All the while, he had me standing on the bench for everyone to see me. After he finished reading the poem, he got on one knee and asked me..."Will you do me the honor of being my wife?:". He had tears in his eyes as he asked the question. I was crying as well...actually most o

When my husband proposed to me it was the most spiritual moment. It was so amazing how he began to express his love for me and my son so beautifully and sincerely. From the first words out of his mouth I knew immediately that he was about to propose tome. The tears began to fall down my face and my heart was filled with so much love and joy I felt complete. After he asked me to be his wife forever and I said yes!!!!. He hugged me very tight and he began to pray and ask god for our love to be blessed forever. It was the best day of the rest of our lives what a blessing!!!!

-Joyce

My husband was respectful and a gentleman with his proposal. On his own he selected a beautiful ring and asked my father beforehand for my hand in marriage. Every year my family hosts a Christmas gathering, in the midst of the Christmas gathering and with help from my father, my now fabulous husband interrupted the festivities with a speech of how much I mean to him and how he couldn't see his future with out me, then he proceeded to get down on one knee and asked 'will you be my wife' and of course Ished tears of joy and replied 'yes'!

Only 5 months into our marriage, we are still enjoying each and every moment we have together.

As I am sitting here watching this for what is probably the 10th time, there is no denying that this was nothing but God. Everything was so perfect! (as are ALL things when God is involved). My husband and I met in church when were 9 and 8, respectively, and I knew back then that we would be married one day. We lost touch, but began dating 15 years later.

One day, on a Friday of the WORST week of my life, we sat down to watch a movie. He was looking for the remote to the DVD player but couldn't findit, so I decided to help and look between the couch cushions. Lo and behold, there was my ring and he asked me to marry him. At that moment I forgot about everything that had gone on earlier that week.

Congratulations!!! I can't wait for "The Wedding":)!!!!

I went to visit my brother during Christmas 1993 and while I was away , my husband told me he was going to do something different this year and he went shopping for wedding rings. We talked while I was away in Delaware and I could not believe what I washearing suprise, but elated. I returned home five day later and he picked me up from the airport and asked if I would go back to his apartment with him and I agreed. Once , I got there we talked and he told me how he really prayed and seeked God before he asked me he wanted to make sure I was the one God had prepared for him and he proposed and I was more than ready to be his wife and bride. We were married on August 13, 2004 and we are blessed in our union with two beautiful daughters and lot's of beautiful memories of what we have learned. We now counsel couples. Love is beautiful with sacrifice and committment . YOU CAN MAKE IT!!!!!! May God bless all the new couples!!!

I didn't have the proposal like those on here and Robert Gray which to me still sends tears to my eyes because i truly feel his proposal was God given and a proposal to all people in the world that want to get to know the true love that surpasses all understanding and that's the Love of God. Anyway, for me the proposal came after I had gotten married to my husband. He came home one day after working 3rd shift and woke me up. I was 6 months pregnant with our third child and he said kneeling in front of me, saying if there were ever a time I needed confirmation that we were meant to be, I got it as I walked in the room and saw you sleeping. That you truly are the woman God meant for me to have and to love. I love you and I know you are mine. For that I thank God because you make me happier than I thought I would. For him to say that to me was like the icing on the cake. I was satisified and happy. We are now married 9 years and if the Lord's will we will be married for a decade this Augu

My name is Mareshah Moses, black male in Birmingham, Alabama; and I have not proposed as of yet; officially, but I have in a joking way. I would like to say how I will propose. The way I will propose will be one that is from the heart and spiritual, I have a vision of being with her and her family at church; the pastor invites both of us up to the alter, and once I stop sweating; I ask her to marry me. Then the other way, would be to do it at her mother's house; less people, more intimate by it being in front of family. I do assure you that this will be a great moment in Love, I do Love her; I am sorry, her name is Veronica, we have had our share of moments; but through prayer and time, we have progressed to this point. Thank you for letting people sharetheir happiness.

I WOULD LIKE TO START BY SAYING CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR ENGAGEMENT I WISH YOU BOTH THE BEST. THE PROPOSAL WAS BEAUTIFUL I WAS IN TEARS. REMEMBER TO KEEP GOD FIRST AND EVERYTHING ELSE WILL FALL INTO PLACE. GOD BLESS YOU BOTH

YOUR NEW FRIEND, GLADYS

Beautiful proposal, and I pray the blessings keep flowing!

As an aside to Vernette...I hope you did not propose. If your SO were ready to make you his "Princess Charming" he would ask you. Things happen in God's time, not ours...regardless, I hope you are both happy!

a white linen tent that held a round table with a locked-box in the center. Surrounding the box were seashells. So I rummaged through my collection of scavenger findings and I pulled out the matching key to the unlock the box. Inside were more seashells, but all were glued down except one. So I picked up this conch shell, shook it and out fell.....NO.....not a another key....BUT A DIAMOND RING into my hand. As the ring laid in my hand, Emanuel on bended knee said: I did all this to show you how much I love you and ask you to be my wife...WILL YOU MARRY ME?" Before I could say Yes, my bestfriends popped out of another tent like paparazzi, screaming and taking pictures! After snapping out of my initial shock I answered: YES! YES! YES!

It truly speaks mountains about a man that takes time, energy, effort and creativity to propose in the manner that Robert Gray and my husband proposed. Emanuel Williams, my beloved, "creatively deceived" me into thinking that he entered us into a scavenger hunt competition called "The Great Race---Miami." I was not truly convinced until he arrived in Miami, FL Memorial Day weekend with a box allegedly designed by the creators of the Amazing Race, filled with instructions, maps, cameras, notepads, little foam animals, locks and keys. The story takes about 30 minutes to tell verbally so i'll save all the romatic details for our moment to share it wih the world via magazine, radio or television. But I will sum it up as this...each stop and each item we collected for the pseudo $10,000 prize represented a place we traveled to, our very first dates and some of the things we experienced together. It all ended, still with me oblivious to his well-thought out plan, with me walking toward a whi
