WHO: Spike Lee
Highlight: His HBO documentary When the Levees Broke received three Emmy Awards. The film presents an in-depth look at the government’s reaction and response to Hurricane Katrina.

WHO: Black Hollywood
Highlight: With wins for Jennifer Hudson in Dreamgirls, Forest Whitaker in The Last King of Scotland, a best actor nod for Will Smith and best supporting actor props for Djimon Hounsou and Eddie Murphy, it looks as if Oscar might finally be getting the picture.

WHO: Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five
Highlight: The message is clear: Hip-hop is here to stay. As proof, these pioneers were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as the first-ever rap artists to be honored.

WHO: Mary J. Blige
Highlight: She’s been the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul for more than a decade, but this was her year to shine. Blige took home three Grammys for The Breakthrough, her seventh album.

WHO: Dr. Ian Smith
Highlight: VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club resident M.D. fought obesity with his 50 Million Pound Challenge. Participants have already lost more than 800,000 pounds!

WHO: Darryl McDaniels, aka DMC, one third of Run-DMC
Highlight: He copped an Emmy Award for DMC: My Adoption Journey, his critically acclaimed VH1 Rock Doc film about his search to find his biological mother.

WHO: Bill T. Jones
Highlight: The former Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater choreographer won the 2007 Tony Award for Best Choreography for Spring Awakening.

WHO: Vanessa L. Williams, Halle Berry, Forest Whitaker and Jamie Foxx
Highlight: These A-list powerhouses shine amid a constellation of stars since earning a spot on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Mr.Clarence Thomas was the MAN for some of us with his vote to rid this country of government racial and or gender preference in government schools and his book on his life that brought in 1.5 million plus for him. Stay strong CT.

What? Thirty dates in thirty days was the best idea t come along in a long, long time. Nicole was a personality to behold and some of the young brothers showed the world upscale black men that just don't get heard from much in positive media. I'm a huge fan of that "situation entertainment".
