Finesse Mitchell

Atlanta native and standup sensation Finesse Mitchell has delighted and entertained comedy fans for years. Acclaimed from his three seasons in the cast of NBC’s Saturday Night Live, his sly sense of humor, Southern charm and powerful persona make Finesse Mitchell one of America’s brightest comedy stars.

A graduate of the University of Miami, Finesse is a former student-athlete who was a walk-on for the University of Miami football team. Finesse played two years with other Hurricane Alumni like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Warren Sapp. Finesse is also a distinguished member of Kappa Alpha Psi.

Finesse made his television debut on B.E.T.’s Comic View in 1999, where he instantly catapulted to the top of show’s favorites among viewers. Shortly after Comic View Finesse found success in both Los Angeles and New York City, where he had multiple appearances on The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn and The Late Show with Conan O’Brien. These breakout bookings led to demand from universities and concert venues in the U.S. and internationally, and culminated in Finesse appearing in his own Comedy Central Half Hour Special. He continues to headline the world’s best comedy clubs.

Produced in collaboration with Quincy Jones III, Finesse released his own comedy DVD Snap Famous, to great and continued demand. Finesse is also a successful columnist, offering sincere and honest relationship advice in Essence magazine, which serves over 1 million subscribers. Spring-boarding from his column, Finesse recently released his first book, Your Girlfriend Only Knows So Much, which will be published by the Simon & Shuster imprint Simon Spotlight. Finesse expands on the formula of his column, giving the frank, hilarious and meaningful dating advice to African-American women that they have come to love, and trust.

In 2007, Finesse starred in the Dimension Films comedy Who’s Your Caddy?, alongside Big Boi, and The Comebacks from Fox Atomic, alongside David Koechner and Carl Weathers. He most recently appeared in the feature, Mad Money, starring three legends, Queen Latifah, Katie Holmes and Diane Keaton, and directed by Academy Award winning writer of Thelma & Louise, Callie Khouri.

Finesse divides his time between Florida, Georgia, California, and anywhere the road takes him.
