Q: What is the Women Who Are Shaping the World Leadership Summit?
A: This leadership summit is a day of enrichment, specifically tailored to assist Black women – working across the career spectrum and as entrepreneurs – to step into their power. The 2008 summit will explore the topics, issues and concerns that affect Black women in the workplace and in building their businesses.

Q: When and where is the Women Who Are Shaping the World Leadership Summit going to be held?
A: This year's summit will take on Friday, October 24, 2008 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.

Q: What is the cost to attend the Women Who Are Shaping the World Leadership Summit?
A: Early registration = $295.00 (valid through July 31)
General registration = $345 (valid through August 1 –Sept. 24 )
Late registration = $395 (valid through Sept. 25 – Oct. 24, or until sold out)

Q: What is included in my registration fee?
A: The registration fee covers admission to all general and breakout sessions; the Power Awards Luncheon and the sponsor vendor area. (Travel and hotel accommodations are the responsibility of each attendee)

Q: How can I register?
A: Through our online registration system. Please be prepared to pay by a credit card or by check (checks must be received within two weeks of your registration). There is a $30 processing fee for all checks.

Q: Will I receive a confirmation of my ticket purchase?
A: Yes, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail.

Q: What is the cancellation policy?
A: There is a $150 non-refundable cancellation fee that will be applied should you cancel up to 30 days prior to the event date. Cancellations made 29 days prior to the event or no-shows will be billed in full.

Q: Can organizations and/or corporations purchase group tickets?
A: Our corporate rewards program, which includes seating for 10, is available to groups, corporations and organizations. For additional information email wwstw@essence.com.

Q: What is the recommended attire for the day?
A: Business casual
