Hi Sister Lena, perhaps you may remember me from "School of Common Sense" as Brother Larry Edwards.Just wanted to agree with your article-you are on the money about the credit score.I've sold new and used vehicles here in N.C. for 11years and the one of the big problems I have seen is people being overextended and they continue to apply for credit or other installment arrangements bringing their score down even lower.

I am a real estate agent in Houston, Texas. I never really understood the importance of having good credit until seeing countless number of potential clients being denied a loan. Saddly enough, most of the people were people of color. Your article on howto raise your credit score is the exact same advise I give my clients who have credit issues. I think more black people need to educate their children at an early age about the importance of good credit, my mom did and I really appreciate her for that.
