I am diffenately feeling the Spa party thing. Too many of us African American women are caught up in taking care of our families, and not pampering ourselves. Every African American woman should have the experience of treating herself to a spa treatment at least once a year, or at least once in her lifetime. Come on sisters grab your friends and let's pamer ourselves in 2004!

AWESOME SERVICE, FRIENDLY AND REASONABLE. I recently had a kiddie pamper party for my 11 year old daughter and 8 of her friends in October. They had a ball getting their seated massages, mani/pedicures with a cute design and received the cutest little gift bags from the therapists. You have to book 2-3 weeks in advance. My girlfriends and I did this very thing about 2 years ago. After pampering ourselves at a friend's home, we had brunch and then the reserved limo arrived to take us to the Chart House restaurant from Essex County, NJ for coffee and dessert. We returned to her home and we shared our stories. Coming together, we didn't know everyone but, in the wee hours of the morning, new friendships had been made and are still going strong. "Ladies Night Out" was the theme and it was very uplifting and inspiring.

My best friend and I hosted a birthday spa reunion party this past summer for some of our college friends. We reserved a hotel suite, I catered a lite lunch,and we relaxed and enjoyed each others company. I did personal invitations in pink and white, with the theme, "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun". I also had t-shirts designed with a pink multi-colored butterfly in it's center along with the theme name. We hired a massage therapist for body and foot massages. My Sisterfriends and I have enjoyed many home pampering parties. We even encorporated our last bash with my birhtday and had a ball. Everyone is invited to bring a dish or beverage and we hire black-owned operators and specialists who provide all kinds of spa treatments. The music is normally jazz and there are plenty of candles and flowers in abundance. It's a very beautiful experience to behold and be part of. More sisters should experience such pleasure to our seneses.

My mother had a pamper party at her home in Corona, Ca for her 40th birthday and it was wonderful. It was about 20 women (family & friends) and we had massages, back scrubs, manicures and pedicures with parafin and so on. It was a pleasurable day and I would definately recommend it.

I had a papper party for my sister's one year on my birthday and it was lots of fun. They flew to Calif. from New Orleans and we made a full day of it. We chose the treatments we wanted and the Therapists' accommodated our request, we all had differentneeds at the time. I would suggest this to anyone wishing to spend some time with friends or family it was just 4 of us.
