THIS IS TO ELAINA: SINCE YOU DON'T MOURN SEAN BELL STILL DOES NOT GIVE THE NEW YORK POLICE TO MURDER HIM. SO WHAT IF HE WAS ARRESTED BEFORE.

The criminal records of the men who were unlawfully targeted do not matter when it comes to life or death.

So I guess if they're records were clean, then it wouldn't be justified for the cops to shoot at them and kill Sean Bell?

Remember theywere not armed.

It's a sad day in the Black community and the country when people would rather point out the transgressions and weaknesses of victims than stand up to a system that is clearly flawed.

I use to be a New City Police Officer and that department Stands by it on even when you do wrong ONCE YOU PASS PROBATION. I think its unfair that those man got a way with murder of Sean Bell. For me they fired me and told me that I shouldn't have been receiving food stamps to feed my family. The system is not set up for us meaning MINORITY. But it is up to us to teach one and reach one. Stop learning the lyrics to these raps song learn your rights to be free. Knowledge is knowing and knowing is POWER.

-NOT GULITY AKA STAR

I am so sick and tired of people only looking at one side of this matter. No one is talking about how Sean Bell was arrested three times: twice for drugs, and once for gun possession.

No one is talking about how Joseph Guzman was arrested for selling drugs outside of a school, or how Trent Benefield got on the stand and said that he has smoked marijuana everyday since he was 16 years old.

No one is talking about how Sean Bell was legally blind in one eye, and how he was driving drunk.

I do not mourn Sean Bell, and I

I was one of the many people who decided to stand up for justice and get arrested. I'm sick and tired of watching things like this happen over and over again. I will not feel powerless. I did it for all of our brothers. I just hope the momentum continues. This is a new movement and we all need to be apart of it. It can't be business as usual anymore. Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.-Martin Luther King

I think the protest can be effective and are necessary since the police so easily got a slap on the wrist for such an over the top senseless act of violence on an innocent civilian. Justice was not served and needs to be pursued!

-Soldier for Christ

I think what they are doing in in New York is right !! protest and get justice nicole it was not right and don't let them get away with it. police are always found not guilty even if they are guilty. its not right and i will be praying for you and your family.Bless you stronger woman

stand up black people

I cant see how justice is working the way it should those policeman had no reason or right to shoot at that car! No ones life was in danger im so lost to how they made that judgement call. Im a single mom of my 21 month old daughter from Boston,MA and myfiance' was shot down in front of me not by the cops but by a dumb ignorant blackman who is apparently angry at the world. The cops have done nothing for my case except try to turn the families involved against one another.Nicole my heart hurts for you ilost the love of my

i'm clarence kibby a viet nam vet; "the police wonder why we hate and don't trust them" think police dummy puppets for the rich white people and money lords. fools are being used to kill for others protection to do crime

-clarence c. kibby

I think it is wonderful that Black people in New York are standing up for innocent black young men, who need protection from a racist society.I am proud of the stand that Nicole Bell, and supporters have taken.

Keep the bell ringing! Sharpton and all leaders our young men and women are being gunned down like rabid dogs and our government is sitting oddly by like nothing is happening. We applaud you Sharpton and Mrs. Bell Please keep the spot light on this injustice here in America, police are and have always been a source of secrecy and dishonor to minorities. It's time that we as people get together to bring this action to a stop. Together, we stand because divided we all will fall. Spread action against horrible injustice!

-M Peters, La

I believe that the more we as a whole begin to mobilize and get the message and action out that this kind of treatment to our race and to any other will not be tolerate. We must begin to flood the news and radio every branch of communication with injustice anywhere is injustice everywhere. We have to start now! Jena LA, Phila, MS and New York we must stand united and make sure that our government take heed that this in unconstitutional!

-Anonymous

I believe the protests will be effective if we keep our faith in GOD! It is time to stand up. It is overdue. When we begint o forget is when we open the doors of unjustice to repeat itself!

-The P. L.

50 bullets for 50 states, why didn't they just sprinkle Sean around the US? Shame on the state of New York for allowing those cops to get off so easy. WHY NOT CHANGE THE LAWS EVERYONE WHO KILLS WALKS.

-Valeroe

As long as we walk by faith, not by sight, we are setting into motion GOD's work. So stand, stay strong, stay in PRAYER and GOD's work will be done.

As a New Yorker and a person who lived through all the shootings and killings of unarmed black men in this city, I applaud the demonstrations. If you notice the pattern, only the number of shots increase, everything else remains the same. The only thing that will make the nypd stop training their officers to believe all black men are the enemy is protesting and civil disobedience. Aggravate them and they'll begin to listen or, someone else will begin to take notice and possibly help.

-T. Ired

I'D SAY KEEP MARCHING TIL THEY GET TO THE WHITE HOUSE DOOR'S, FIRE 50 SHOT'S THEN, THEM BASTARDS WILL RECONIZE WE ARE TIRED OF SEEING OUR RACE GUNNED DOWN AND BEAT DOWN IN THE STREET'S BY C.O.P'S [ CRIMINALS. ON . PATROL ]

I'm Black, a female born in America and 43 years old will be 44 in December,I think it's about time for all people to find out what's going on in Our World, there is so much pain, hate, anger, selfeshness and violence, people get grip on things, change the way you think and see each others, the way we look at or value life it self. Please tell me, Do you smoke,Do you speak jokingly about someone, Do you love? Or what do you love? do you appreciate your Mother,Father,Children,Siblings And Most of All God, the The Creator of life i

-Carol

I am confused, werent the officers black also? Were they in an undercover operation? is this black on black crime? Someone please explain to me what happen? My prayers are for Nicole and her daughters.

-confused person

My heart goes out to the Bell family. I truly do believe that justice will be served, keep doing what your heart believe is right and you can't go wrong. If we don't fight for what we believe then we have already given up.

-Angel L.W. Thompson

I think the protest lead by Al Sharpton is a effective way of attracting attention to the plight of injustices within the New York City police department. There has to be some way that the leaders of the justice system in this country can be made to payattention to what's happening to minorties in this courtry. We the people must make it clear that enough is enough. It's time to fight the inherent racism in the justice system! Stop murdering our men senselessly and shamelessly!!!

-Johnny L. Russ Jr.

The protestors were right. I wish I was amongst them

There are words to express to the pain I feel in my heart for the mother of Mr. Bell's little girls. She is a strong woman and I applaud her efforts for justice. I hope she always knows that she and her family will forever have the unyeilding support of the black community and americans across the country. We are all for here right here with y'all. Sean Bell could've been me or anyone of my 11 siblings or 1000's of relatives. My heart goes on. His love (God's love) endures and heals. Believe.
